Project description
The project concerns a residential building on a 909 m² plot, comprising twelve apartments and an underground garage. Starting from an already approved design based on a traditional construction system—with reinforced concrete columns and external thermal insulation—the project was reworked to introduce a prefabricated timber structure.
The original layout and overall volume were retained, while the structural system was redesigned to accommodate the requirements of timber prefabrication. This transformation made it necessary to coordinate the architectural, structural and technical components from the outset, adapting junctions, dimensions and construction sequences to a modular building process.
The façades were also redesigned as ventilated envelopes, articulated by a regular rhythm within which the windows are integrated. This new composition gives the building a clearer and more coherent architectural identity while expressing the logic of its construction. Completion of the works is scheduled for December 2026.
