Project description
The project, located in Pregassona (Lugano) on plots no. 1054 and 164, foresees a residential building with five apartments on a 1,060 m² site with a 33% slope. The intervention occupies 316.8 m², replacing a degraded structure and reshaping the terrain to create a level base and landscaped green areas, including a small terraced park with benches and playgrounds.
The building consists of three staggered volumes resting on a reinforced concrete base housing a garage for 10 cars and technical rooms. The residential part comprises two 2.5-room flats, two 3.5-room flats and a 5-room penthouse. Each unit has private outdoor space—gardens, terraces or a panoramic rooftop terrace—and interiors organised to maximise light and cross-ventilation.
The structure combines a concrete base with lightweight metal-framed upper levels clad in timber, while large windows with shading elements ensure thermal and acoustic comfort. The project integrates harmoniously into the natural slope, combining functional design, energy efficiency and quality outdoor spaces.
